one of my favorite stories along this line deals with the Iowa woman a few years back that gave birth to septuplets. The couple couldn't concieve on their own and so went through with IVF which resulted in 7 viable embryos in the woman's uterus. When asked why they didn't opt for selective reduction, they commented that they did not want to interfere with "God's plan"! Apparently they didn't have a problem interfering when God's plan was for them to have zero children.
