Any one of several reasons. Take your pick.

1. We used to have a set of red wine glasses, but they've seen a rate of attrition of one to two glasses per year, such that we only have one left.

2. We're cheap.

3. Storage space is a huge issue for us. We barely have room for our dishes now, much less different sets of wine glasses.

We drink mainly boxed wines, which seem to get slightly oxidized anyway. On the rare occasions that we have something nicer, we just won't fill the glass as much and can drink the wine slower, giving it a chance to open up.
